How do I access a local server (installed on a xp machine - apache server) from a pc on the same network. I have some sample web sites hosted on the server and wanted to access them from a browser in another pc. I typed this from remote browser:
Assuming that is the IP of the server on your network. "Localhost" is used for a computer to refer to itself. So, you *can* use localhost while on the server, but on other machines you just need the servers IP or name. Of course, you could create a subfolder on your site called localhost, but I don't think that is what you have.
