Hi, I have 3 computers, and I'm trying to set up a network. The problem: 1 computer can access the 2 others, but the 2 others can't access the first computer. I get an error saying that i have to adjust access permissions. The computer that won't allow the other two to connect has no firewall. Also, in the network connections folder, there are two things listed: "1394 Net Adapter" and "Realtek... NIC". When I ran the network wizard, I set it up using the 1394 Net Adapter (I tried with the Realtek, but it wouldn't work at all, whereas with the 1394 I was able to connect to the other computers although they couldn't connect to this one.) Thanks

First thing first: make sure you make all machines part of the same workgroup, for instance:
PC1 joins "HOME" workgroup
PC2 joins "HOME" workgroup
PC3 joins "HOME" workgroup; Then create users (or at least use ADMINISTRATOR) to be able to connect. All additional user accounts have to be created in the other PCs.
Dont' forget that machines have to have unique names. Also, give your users permissions to access the other machines, but better yet, you have to SHARE the machine....in other words SHARE the HARD DRIVE or particular folders of it.
Post back with more details...Good Luck

Hi, all the machines are part of the same workgroup. For the users, do you just mean create users under windows accounts? Each computer has only Administrator account.
I have selected which folders I want shared, but I still cannot reach the folders from the 2 other computers. Is there something I need to do to allow 'permissions to access'?
Thanks
