i have a office network on a ethernet switch / ADSL router, from the internet is there a way that i can access my office network. I have the ip address from the router and can access the router setup from home through this. Is there any way that i can access my office network which is running win2k sothat i can access my work files. What do i need to do.

Check your router manual, it may have VPN capability built into it...which is all you need to do what you wish.

If you don't have VPN you can use remote desktop software like PcAnywhere or VNC. I recommend VNC, because it's faster than PCAnywhere, it's free, and there's a lot of different ones to choose from. RealVNC, TightVNC, UltraVNC, TridiaVNC, etc.
I find that UltraVNC works the best for me, because it has file transfer capability like PCAnywhere.
To use it, you'll have to set up forwarding on your router so that all requests for port 5900 (this is what all the VNC programs use)get routed to the IP address of your office computer.
