My router connects to 3 PC and one of them runs an apache web server. Now say my ip address is xxx.xxx.xxx.xx and I want to access my homepage. However, it seems not possible for me to access xxx.xxx.xxx.xx from any of my pc and this really make it very inconvenient when I want to test a webpage. How can I access my own IP inside my home network?

try a online proxy server like megaproxy.com. 127.0.0.1 will not work.
