I have 7 computers on my network. My issue is with computers #1 and #7. I just recently bought a new router. Both of the these computers have internet. Comp #1 can access comp #7 and all of the rest of the comps on the network. Comp #7 can access all the other comps on the network and can see comp #1 in my network places under view workgroups and it shows up in the Hamachi server on it's window, but comp #7 can not open comp #1 or any of its folders. I am trying to get comp #7 to use the printer that comp #1 controls. all the other comps can print from the same method but not comp #7. The other comps on the network can access comp #1 and it's folders and printers. Only comp #7 is having this issue and it's only with comp #1 that it can't access. What is going on? I don't understand. File sharing is on and authority to change files is selected on comp #1. When I try to access compu #1 using comp #7 I get a message that says you do not have persmission to access this network and it also says network path not found. But that can't be because the other 5 comps can access comp #1. Please help!

Did you add file and print sharing to the firewall exceptions on #7 ?

Which OS is running on #1 and #7? For some versions of Windows, you will need to have a user account with the same name/password on both computers.

I a running windows xp on both comps #7 and #1. Would the password on the firewall have anything to do with it since comp #7 can access the other 5 comps on the network with no problem? the access issue is only with this one comp and yet comp #1 can access and be accessed by the other 5 comps. It can also access comp #7.

Erhm, sometimes the XP home doesn't open up for the network. If some comps have pro, and some have home, then the home comps can see the pro's, but not the other way.
Go look in the administration inside control panel and open services.

...

Sry can't remember which ones it is that needs to be turned on, but I've had this problen once and solved it in there.
