I have a Question in Reference to GPO. If a XP Client that is on a Windows 2003 Domain is assigned to an OU to have certain applications installed, on the next reboot, all of those applications are installed on to that PC. Will those GPO's ever be reapplied to that PC on it's own? And if an application is un-installed by the user, would it reinstall just that application on the next reboot?
I am assigning applications to computers. If I have a PC in an OU that has 5 applications assigned to install, those apps get installed. And if I never move that PC from that OU or add other apps to that OU that the PC is in, would those applications that are assigned to the OU ever get re-applied to that PC? I was working on a PC today, and on shutdown, 11 MS updates were installed. When I re-started the PC, I saw all the appliations get applied again to that PC. I did nothing to the GPO. What caused those applications assigned to that GPO to get re-applied?
