I have full sharing enabled so that others can work with my files while I'm away. I had hoped I could allow thisto avoid the copying that goes on with read only sharing as far as updates go. Problem is, users get access to my files and I can't figure out how to disconnect them so I can use the files with out it prompting me to 'make a copy' because it's already in use.
I'd rather not log off because I have another app running that is a hassle to restart and relog in.
Any solutions?
I tried net stop, but it told me I couldn't do that in a command prompt window.

What OS's are you running????? Are you running NT? I would setup user mode, if you are loging into a domain and others. Then you can allow only what users you want to connect to your share, only if your setup in a domain network, if not you have to use share level.
