Hi everyone. Got a question to ask. I have a 3COM OfficeConnect Wireless 11G Router. Works like a charm. Thing is I use Bittorrent, and I've been using it for a while now, until I just happened to read in an FAQ that if my network used NAT (which it does), I might get better speeds in BT if I used port forwarding, or on this router 'Virtual Servers'.

That's fine and dandy, I entered ports 6881 to 6889 like it suggested in the virtual servers list and have them forwarding to the machine running BT. However, the Virtual Servers section is under the Firewall section. And I have the router firewall turned off (don't need it).

If the Firewall is turned off, does that mean everything that comes under that section also ceases to function? In other words, will Virtual Servers only be active if the Firewall is active?

The reason I ask is I haven't seen any increase in BT inbound traffic at all since I added the ports. I tried turning the firewall on anyway, to see if that would increase traffic. It didn't. Any suggestions?
