When installing a 3Com 3C905TP ISA NIC in my old Packard Bell 486 (OS Win 95), I ran the 3Com preinstall program which detected the non PnP BIOS & directed the use of a PnP disable application on the Etherdisk. Now that I have a PnP BIOS, I would like to enable PnP on the NIC so that it can be installed in a mode other than Legacy. Any ideas on how to do this? Or have I irreversably (spelling!) disabled PnP? If so, does it really make any difference what mode the NIC is installed in as long as it is configured properly? Thanx for your help.
