hi
I have a small existing 2 pc network with a cross over cable connected. If i want to connect one more pc to this network, what is the best method? I have a IBM stackable 16 port ethernet hub. Can i connect cat5 cable from hub to nic cards of each pc? will this make network between all 3 pc's?

Yes it will. Just remember, when you're not connecting directly from one NIC to another, you want to use regular network cables.

The "best" way is to pick up a router and run all your PCs off this as clients. For a 2-3 PC network ICS works OK but once you start adding more PCs, printers, scanners, etc. it's easier to work with a router.
