Is there any way to force Win XP to use one NIC for internet Access, and Another for Lan access?

I have the following set-up:

Network Setup:

Subnet 1
- 2 clients
- one server acting as a gateway to both subnet 2 and the Internet

Subnet 2
- 3 Clients
- Same server acting as a gateway to both subnet 1 and the Internet

Subnet 3
- The Internet

Server OS: Redhat 9.0
Client OS: Win XP PRO

Server is also used for file storage

Now, one of the clients in subnet 1 needs direct access to the internet. I installed a second NIC, and connected it the internet. But Alas, the client continues to communicate through the Server.

I have discovered that if I set this client to not use a gateway on the LAN NIC, then it will communicate with the Internet through the second NIC, and still maintain access to the server - But I can no longer communicate with Subnet 2.

This client needs access to a couple of shares on Subnet 2 that cannnot be moved to the server (printers, faxes).

I can set the server to block connections from this client to the internet, but then the client has access to subnet 2 but not the internet (it won't even try it's second NIC).

I guess in short:

1. Client must be able to use the gateway for access to Subnet 2
2. Client must use ISP's gateway for internet access

Also..

The reason for the 2 subnets is that Subnet 1 uses very high bandwidth on the LAN. Computers now on subnet 2 had little to no access to the network.

setup each adapter -manually- for each subnet with the respective protocols

you may also need to bridge the LAN connections in XP
