I have 2 PCs each running XP Pro each with internet. Each has an ADSL modem/
router/ switch/ DHCP/ NAT/ UPnP (disabled). The 2 systems are segregated.
PC A <==> CAT5 cable <==> modem/router A <==> ADSL line A <==> ISP APC B <==> USB cable <==> modem/router B <==> ADSL line B <==> ISP B
By unplugging the USB cable and running a CAT5 cable from PC A to modem-router
B, I have File and Print Sharing.Great! Any combination everything works perfectly.
But...
...plugging everything in simultaneously results in wobbly internet on PC B.I am not concerned with internet Load Sharing, the 2 systems can continue to
have segregated internet.
I want File and Print Sharing at the same time.
How to Do?I have these lines of thought...
1. Change modem/router settings. (Yikes! I've been trying that!)
2. Bridging the NIC and USB connections on PC B.
3. Prevent TCP/IP talking between modem/router A and PC B. How to do?
4. Running Firewire between PC A and B.

Adding another nic card to one of the pcs would be an easy solution. as would the firewire/usb cable connection.
