Im trying to figure out how to have 2 routers on the same network with different subnets talk to each other. One router linksys is set to 255.255.255.0 the other a Netgear is set to 255.255.0.0. My internet comes in through the linksys. I then plug the wan port of the netgear into an open port on my linksys. The linksys can see it and assigns it an IP. All machines behind the netgear can surf the net and I can RM into the netgear by port forwarding from the linksys. I cant however internal ping the netgear or get to its managment utilites from the internal network. Any help would be great.

Is there any reason why you have to have 2 different masks ? If not take a look at the netgear , all the addressing is changable via the menu including the mask , just change it to match the linksys setup and then apply the setting.

One router the linksys is for my home and home pc setup. The other is to emulate different sites that the company I work for provides support for. All of there sites have the 255.255.0.0 subnet.
