i want to share files i have 2 pc's linked VIA crossover cable it automatically shows a LAN and i can play games with my brother on the other computer but i want transfer files i tried to install netboie and things like that no luck i would very much appreciate some step by step instructions if u knoe how to do this :)

you need to go into the "My Network Places" properties and click "file and printer sharing" and then check the boxes give it a restart and then create a folder, then right click on that folder and click "properties" option and then the "sharing" tab. Then setup this!!! then put all of the files you want to share in this folder!!! Hope this helps:)
