Hi all. I installed a second nic on my home machine to inferface with my sister's machine via simple file-sharing.
So, Nic A is my internet connection and Nic B is connected to the home network.
The problem is, when I access the internet, the traffic goes through Nic B (my sister's machine has a separate internet connection of its own) instead of Nic A like it should.
I know that I should be doing something with the routing tables to fix this, but I haven't got the foggiest notion on how to begin.

Not quite enough detail on your setup. Does your NicA plug into a router that goes to the internet? Is your sisters machine also plugged into the same router for her internet connection? Or do you have separate phone lines with separate modems connecting to the internet (that would be wierd.)
If you are both connected to the same modem router you didn't need to get the additional card to share files.
Post back with more details and you can probably be helped. It sounds like an IP address issue so far though.
