Is your work environment a domain?
If it is, you will need to talk to your IT people about setting up dual hardware profiles for you. Or, you could use a program like Mobile Netswitch to allow you to swap between settings for home and work.
If however, work is not a domain, then you shouldn't need anything extra or special.
Mainly, you'll want to be able to use DHCP on your laptop at both locations for your connection.
