I have a linksys wireless-N router plugged into my dsl modem. I have an identical router plugged into my pc a few rooms away. I can get on the internet with my laptop through the router plugged into the modem, but I can't get anything through the router plugged into my pc. How can I get the second router to talk to the one plugged into the modem?

Routers are not normally designed to talk to each other, they are designed to talk to a wireless interface card in the computer.

You can get the routers to talk to each other providing they have a bridge mode or client mode. Not all routers do. You will also need to disable DHCP in the router not connected to the Internet. You need to read the instructions very carefully.

If you want a wireless connection between the two rooms dispense with the router that is not connected to the Internet and replace it with a wireless interface card in that computer. Its a lot simpler and that is the way things were meant to work.
