My buddy and I live about .75 miles apart. We both have cable connection with linksys 802.11g wireless routers. We are in plain site of each others house. What we would like to do is get a wifi antenna for each house, bridge our connection, and share on network. Is this possible? What equipment would we need or recommend and is there any other info that we should have or know? Thanks

I don't think there's any solution for you without a third party involved that doesn't break FCC regulations.

I suggest looking into VPN...or...uh...walking to each other's houses. ;-)

There are several solutions for you, none of them cheap. An external wireless bridge setup that reaches that far usually start around $1,000.00 US dollars. I have setup 2 of these at work. D-Link has an external AP that with the right antenna will broadcast for miles...and they are not in violation of FCC rules...
