Hello,
Got two PCs networked together and I want to be able to take root access in both from one PC, meaning from the 1 terminal I would like to be able to move the cursor, open files, etc, in the second PC (terminal 2) as if I were doing it all from the PC....how can I do this and what do I need to do it...
thanks
co

I use a program called RealVNC to sit at one PC and login and control the other systems. It can access any PC on the network that you want to control. It can only access one PC at a time, but in your case that is all you have. Since you are linking over the network there is a lag time when accessing the remote PC so don't expect the speed to be the same as if you were sitting at the keyboard.
Good luckRichard

you can use windows built in , netmeeting and enable remote desktop sharing, with the administrator password you will be able to do wht you want , you can get a control move curso etc...
use
"conf" in the RUN to start netmeeting
good luckadmin@paklight.net

does both PC's have to have sharing enabled? Plus I typed conf and nothing happened can I directly start netmeeting to make this work?
thanks
co

"Conf" is the WinXP version of Netmeeting. florocent musta not read that you are using NT. The rest is right. If you just have Netmeeting running with the desktop sharing enabled, you should be able to control the other machine.

PC Anywhere, I have version 9.0, don't know what version they are on now, works between 2 computers, over a local network or the internet.
It is quite awsome.
You can also transfer large files via this route as well as camp into your friends pc and let them know what's wrong all while they watch the mouse go haywire on their computer and you can text chat with them.
Beware ************** set login passwords as the wrong user could do THE WRONG THINGS!
