192.168.1.1 Will Not Connect..

December 26, 2012 at 00:19:10
Specs: Macintosh

I have 2 Apple (1T) Time Capsules in an extended network. Upgraded to an iMac and to Mt Lion on it and laptop. Now I cannot get into the router to check clients and further configure. I previously did this with Airport utility, but now only get that it is there. Pings OK but will not connect. Am connected with ethernet cable, and get error message"cannot connect because it cannot find server", however it is functioning well as a router and is connected to the internet
Any help appreciated.

Found I can get in to Router by pressing option while clicking. (guess that is a right-click) on the Icon of the router in Airport utility, but am still disappointed that I cannot see who/what is connected to my router. It is a newer interface, I believe that left that out. Previously I had reserved certain IP no's for each computer only to find out the router was dishing out different IP addresses than the ones I had assigned. Will try again with this interface, but an older router had kept the ones I assigned.
