How is everyone? I have a question regarding wireless routers. I wanted to know if there is a huge difference between 108mbps routers and 54mbps routers. Now I have a 5mbps per second internet connetion, will the 108 router speed up streming apps or is that number mostly for actual LAN transfers between PC's?

The 100mbps or 54mps routers won't make the slightest difference to you Internet speed.

The routers are just links in a long chain between your computer and the host and a chain is only as good as it's slowest link.

The high speed routers do make a difference on the LAN if you have a number of computers all trying to use the LAN at the same time.
