This is bugging me.. I got two old wireless networking cards.. The 6500, and the 6700 from AT&T.. They are both marked as 54Mbps cards..

But, when I got a new 108Mbps router, they both say in windows that they are connected at 108Mbps.. So, out of curiosity, I downloaded the 6750 drivers (the card looks exactly the same as mine), and I noticed that it uses the exact same SYS files.. so the card did install, minus windows telling me the driver wasn't meant for my card..

and it worked fine..

so what gives? did AT&T really go that low, and sell the same card, one being marked higher price with higher speed, when in reality, both cards are EXACTLY the same? or could it be a fluke, that the cards are different, and windows is making a mistake...
