I have a strange problem, I can get my network connection to work at 10Mbps but not at 100Mbps. I have SMC fast ethernet card(latest drivers), Cat 5 cable and a 100mbps hub. The cable is about 27Mtrs in length. Other computers on the network can connect to the hub at 100Mbps just fine.
Your hub, and wires sound fine. The problem maybe found on your ethernet card. Even though you've downloaded the latest drivers, the physical card maybe outdated in terms of technology wise and lacking the 100mbps capability. Not all cards are capable of the 100mbps speeds. Your ethernet card may of been purchased before the 100mbps era. Tho... that's the only reason that could find.
