Hi
i have one server and 7 clients connected on a hub and the problem is when all the computers are copying files from the server the network will slow down

Now i want to increase the network speed by installing 2 NIC's on the server and connect the both NIC's on the same hub.
1- is this Possible to do?
2- will it speed the network connection?
3- do i need to give the both NIC's the same IP address?
4- when sending data from the server will the both NIC's serve

Thanx for any Help
Saleh

1 - yes
2 - no
3 - not possible
4 - not sure i understand the question

The first thing I would try is replacing the hub with a switch.

I agree with Mick, be sure you've got 100 mbps NIC's and a good 100 mbps switch.

Rob.
