Can anyone help me?!? I just had a Rogers cable modem hooked up. First I plugged it directly into my computer, and it worked. Then I plugged it into the router, but it didn't work. So I plugged it back into my computer without the router, and it now doesn't work. It's a problem with getting the IP from Rogers Cable. Every time I try to renew the WAN IP, it either gives me an error "DHCP Server Not Found" or just "IP Renew Timeout". This happens when trying to renew from both computer and router... I know my ethernet card works and I cloned the right address. What's going on?? I tried everything.

On your pc, is DHCP enabled? and is it set to Obtain an IP address automatically? Also, did you configure your router for DHCP?

Im sure you probably have tried this but ill mention it anyways :)
Did you try unplugging the modem from the wall 30 secs should be enough the cable modem may only allow one IP and is assigned to the MAC Address on you NIC this allows the DHCP Server to assign you a new IP based on the MAC in the router.
