I’m getting prepare to install ZENworks and requires your assistance with hardware configuration.

The component being installs are:
Desktop Management Services
Application management, Workstation management, Remote management, Desktop management Database, Inventory Database, Inventory Server, Inventory Proxy Server, Imaging Server, PXE Server, Workstation Import/Removal Server, and Middle Tier Server.

This is the server current configuration
Compaq DL380 Pentium III 1266 MHz
Memory 1.3GB (2x 128mb, 2x 512mb, and 2 empty slot)
Hard-drive 54.2GB (3x 18.2 drives)

I would like to increase the hard-drive space and the memory before the install. Preferably, how much hard-drive space and memory would you suggest I add to this server?

That server has plenty of grunt to run Zen.
The inventory database will consume the most memory depending on how many workstation you have (devote 512 if you have more than 50 PC's). I'd say the specs look fine, but more RAM never hurts if you can afford it.

Storage may be an issue if you are storing lots of Zen images for workstations and have a lot of applciations to snapshot.

You probably can get away with IDE disks for the images but keep the snapshot files on a speedy SCSI drive, otherwise you may slow people down on login if you're automatically distributing aps. RAM would alleviate the speed issues associated with using IDE.

If you've never used Zen before, you're in for a treat (once you learn it's quirks). I still find new and creative ways to use the product that shave hundreds of hours off my administration duties.
