I'm new to this and would like to know how to configure Zenwork on my server. I need to run and install apps automatically without haveing to be at every workstation. I have tried the instructions on novell website but couldnt follow. Could anyone explain whats the best way for me to implement zenworks? Could this be done by a novice?

What version of Netware, Zenworks and clients are you running.
Would also help if you identified yourself, I don't like mysteries

First: buy a copy of zen
Second: install it on the server
Third: make sure your workstations have the right version client
Fourth: Run Snapshot.exe (sys:\snapshot\snapshot.exe)
Fifth: Do an install of a package you need distributed
Sixth: End Snapshot
Seventh: Make a NAL out of the AOT file
Eighth: Associate it with a group of users
Ninth: Modify their login script to @nal.exe
Tenth: Observe their satisfied faces as your NAL object get's installed on their PC's either when they login or when they double click the icon. For more details on how to do this, we need to know what version of zenworks you got, what type OS is the workstation, and what version of the Novell Client you got. Also what type of App you wanna distribute would help too.
Since you are anonymous, I would guess you are my ex-boss who thought he knew everything, and then stayed up late at night reading all the highlights in the "NetWare for Dummies" books.

Yes, I'm just learning how this works. I'm using Novell 5 with NT Domain. All workstations are windows nt. Thanks again SciFi for that info... i think i will try that and see if i can get it to work correctly.
