Hello,
I hope someone can help me with the following problem:
On Windows XP machines we cannot connect to a Novell server (e.g. 3.12)
trough the router which is set up as our default gateway. In Windows 9x, NT4 we do not have this problem. Does anyone have a solution to this problem?
We where thinking that the problem was in the routing tables in the router, but why does it work on Windows 98 machines and not on Windows XP machines... I guess that Windows XP in combination with Novell (Client version 4.83) are giving problems with the IPX protocol. When not connecting thought the router (to another older, 3.12 novell server) we don't have these problems with Windows XP.
So the winXP-clients cannot attach to Netware 5 or Netware 3.x servers via
existing static IPX-routes and SAP assignments. Win9x-clients have no
problem. All IPX-routing is definied as: IPX route {internal netadres} MAC-
address.
