Windows XP - Netware Client 4.83 slow

When I try to browse the NDS tree (NW 5.1) from an XP Pro PC using client 4.83, it takes a long time. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

like how long are we talking here? have you patched that client? there is a patch, but from memroy its kinda hard to find... or it was for me anyway!

It usually takes 30 seconds or so. I was not aware of a patch, do you know where I could find it? I could not find it in Novells support site.

i had trouble finding it myself... it's a good few Mb from memory, and i'm at home right now so i can't dig up the details for you...

I had the same trouble on a 4.1 server running XP with the NW Client 4.83. What fixed it was going into the properties of the nwlink protocol and specifying the frame type and network number manually. After that everything ran fine!
