Subject: Windows 2000 Server converting FAT32 to |
Comment: Okay, here's my situation: I recently took a Network Administrator position and I have a dillema. My Domain Controller is a Compaq Proliant ML370 running Windows 2000 Server, and is current with the latest Service Packs. When this DC was built, the kid installed the OS on a 3 GB FAT32 partition, and configured an extended partition of the remaing 30 GB as NTFS. Now, I only have about 800MB of space remaining on the system partition, and I am definitely not comfortable with that. This DC has been in use for 6 months, and already has over 200 user accounts etc. We have another DC in another office, and that is obviously joined to out Active Directory domain. My question is...what is the best approach to getting my system partition up to 8GB and formatting it to NTFS. Obviously, I could back up the entire server, reconfigure the partitions, reinstall 2000 and then restore the data and accounts. Is there another way to accomplish this task without having to reinstall the entire server??? Any help or advice would be most appreciated. Thanks for your help...
