Comment: We just set up some new WinXP PC's with the latest Novell XP client. These PC's connect to a Novell 3.12 server. They can connect ok but after 15-20 minutes they drop the connection. Any suggestions? Thanks

Reply: (edit)Novell has put out at least two Clients for XP. I don't know what all issues they were having with the first one. I am using 4.83 and am having no problems staying connected.

I have searched novells site for this issue and the only information they have relates to OS/2. Any help with this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Reply: (edit)I've got the same XP to Netware 3.12 problem. I've loaded both the 4.82 and 4.83 client with no success at all. I know the NIC is working, as TCPIP communication is no problem. Any help appreciated on this as well.

Reply: (edit)I called Novell and they said xp does not support 3.12 and I would have to upgrade to newer version. ($$$$$) So I am sticking with 98 or 2000. Bill gates whats novell out.

Reply: (edit)There's a patch out for client 4.83 that solves some issues with permissions in XP and Novell.
