Volume not mounting

I can not mount volume sys. I ran Vrepair but vrepair is hung at Validating Extended Directory. I tried to run DSrepair but I can not also the volume does not mount. I have very important accounting files that I need to recover. Also tried to load stage by stage but still can not mount the volume or run ds repair. I copied the dsrepair nlms to c:\nwserver and tried to load it from there after load the stage 4 but not successful. Any body can help please let me know.
