I am currently running a Novell Netware 3.12 server. I have 20 users/workstations logging in in either win98/winxp environment. I am running printer ques from Novell to support my Network printers. We mostly access large Foxpro dos databases from the server. I have been toying with the idea of upgrading the server. Any words of advice as to a)what type of server b)Problems that I might encounter c)reasons to KEEP N3.12

Any advice you can spare will be greatly appreciated.

Sincerely

Jason

Jason,
If it works don't fix it. If you want to upgrade, the Novell migration utility works very well to go from 3.12 to 5 or 6. We only had to tweak a few rights out of 75 people plus the print queues. We had a print server box that had to be upgraded, since there was no software update for NW 5. Be sure your Foxpro will run OK with the newer clients. I had an old DOS accounting package that didn't like any client newer than 2.5.
