I have a Novell 5.1 network setup and am unable to login to Novell using the dos client. We login under dos to map a drive to the network to ghost machines. Logging in is not a rights issue, I have admin access. Does the login.exe use bindery to login to the server? If so, does this have to be enabled on the network? Thanks in advance.

It depends on how old the client is and whether or not you have enabled NDS login capabilities on the client. If you want to assume it is an older client you can set the bindery emulation on the Novell server to the context that contains the object you are using to login in with. It should work then. For example, if you are logging in with a user named JDoe in the OU container "Students" in the organization unit "Schools" you can type the following on the command line (be sure to add it to the AUTOEXEC.NCF if it works) SET BINDERY CONTEXT = ou=students.o=schools. You must have either a read/write or master replica on the server that will run bindery emulation.
