Subject: unable to login OS: novell netware 4.11CPU/Ram: Pentium-IV |
Comment: I have novell netware 4.11 server, all clients are connecting to it through disk less nodes using boot rom, The server not been swithed on for long time, when it is swithed on ,network crad is not detected, i installed network card, but when i looked into autuoexec.ncf file there is only junk character so i copied the autoexec.ncf from another server and again installed the network card driver.i see an error display in server "The bindary context has not been set". and also when i tried to login to server using admin, user admin has not permission it showning this disply , so i tried another user which i had created previously , it showes user doesnot exit .the user name and password are correct . so i need help . and how can i recover autoexec.ncf if it is corrupted or modified.

Reply: (edit)that's the problem . your context is the place where your user- and your server object are located. if SWAMY is not the original context ( oraganisation name ) your user object cannot be found in the nds. the result ist that your login fails. remove SWAMY from autoexec.ncf - restart the server - load dsrepair. in this tool you will find your tree name and your server name with context in the upper light blue part of the screen. regardsmike pacholke www.hsinet.de www.alte-netware.de www.old-netware.com
