Unable to install DAT Drive in Novell4.1

I have a HP SCSI DAT drive that was working fine on old IBM server after we shifted to new IBM X 230 SERIES server with Novell 4.11 we are unable to install this DAT drive at startup it gets detected on SCSI Channel-2 but despite its modules being loaded , novell is unable to detect this new device . Can any one help pls.
