Anything is possible, however, Novell will search for IPX SPX.... So why not add it?

I have a similar question:
I have a network consisting of 12 NT4 servers and workstations running Win95, Win98, Win2000 and WinNT workstation. I have 1 Novell 3.12 server running IPX/SPX and would like to run only TCPIP on it. I know you said "So why not add it" and that would work but I would like to eliminate the IPX/SPX protocol on all of my machines to minimize traffic.
So... is there a way to only load TCPIP on the Novell server and be able to connect to it from the client OSes I listed above. I tried to not load IPX/SPX on the Novell server and although the clients can see the server they cannot connect to it. I know I could run Gateway Services for Netware on a server and then map thru it, but would rather leave this as a last resort.
Any ideas? Thanks.

You can add TCP/IP to NW 3.x but I'm pretty sure you cannot remove IPX. Maybe NW 5.x finally allows TCP/IP only.
