Synchronize Novell + Groupwise

Comment:
Sometimes when users change their password and they login they are not able to connect to Groupwise, we first have to set a password on the user's groupwise before they can be connected. We use a Server for Novell 4.11 and a seperate Server for Groupwise 5.5 how is it possible that synchronisation takes so long.

Somettimes NDS is slow to update changes. However the easy way around your problem, should I understand it correctly, is to configure GroupWise to NOT prompt for the email password if authenticated to NDS. That way when you login to the network, then launch GroupWise, it will use your NDS password for email. To enable this feature, from the Groupwise client, click Tools-Options-Security and make sure "No Password with NDS" is checked. The users will still have to update their Groupwise password for Webaccess (if you are using it), if they want to keep both synchronized. Roger(MCNE/MCSE/CCNP)
