My m/c has an Adaptec AHA2940 UW PRO SCSI storage adapter and an Atapi CD ROM and 3 SCSI Seagate Hard Disc drives.
During installation of Netware 5.1, I get the following messages:
Matching drivers to devices
---------------------------
Platform support Module: mps14
Hotplug support module: (optional)
storage adapters: IDEATA,AHA2940Loading Driver
---------------Matching Drivers to Hardware devices
--------
Driver Names
storage devices: IDECDWhen I press Enter to Continue, I get the following message:
"No storage device was detected in the system. Load the appropriate driver (HAM).
Presss to continue."Do i have to search for an alternate storage adapter driver or Storage device driver.
I assume that since my storage devices are not getting detected, it might be a problem with the storage device driver.
I tried using alternate drivers provided by netware 5.1 but did not work.
I then tried searching for drivers on Seagate web site but to no avail. Can you guys help me in this matter ?

Are your SCSI devices terminated right, with no conflicts on device #'s? And what HAM drivers are you using for the SCSI devices?

Hi Underdog,
The SCSI devices are terminated rite with no conflicts on devices. During m/c startup, the BIOS is able to correctly detect these hard disks. The Installation automatically detects the following HAM drivers
IDEATA.HAM - generic ata/ide/atapi adapter
AHA2940.HAM - Adaptec AHA-2940 or AHA-2940WMy m/c has an Adaptec AHA2940 UW PRO SCSI storage adapter and an Atapi CD ROM and 3 SCSI Seagate Hard Disc drives.
So, I guess the Installation detects the storage adapters right but not the storage devices.
This is my first installation of netware 5.1 and I am clueless as to what next to do ?
Do I have to use another storage adapter ?
please guide me....
shridhar
