hi,
i do not need to login to my network all the time...when I log into my workstation only to work locally, i keep getting the damn netware login screen every time i open up a new application...it keeps popping up over and over again trying to make me login in!!...but i dont want to!!!
is this the default way it is setup? how do suspend this annoyance so that i only am prompted with a netware login when i request it manually to access my network..please helpmany thanks

It sounds like your application is looking for a networked printer or some other network resource. You could try setting printers to ltp1 etc instead of \\server\Print_que

Resistence is futile! John is right, each application looks for installed printers and accessible drives (esp if you've used them within that app before!) The easiest thing is to just login. How big a hassle is it to login? Is your password 200 characters? does it take forever to attach to the server? Usually you WANT to access resources! Are there other network issues that keep you from logging in? Maybe your administrator or tech support team can help you with those? Good luck.

To disable autologon (fromTID 10057349):
1. Run
2. Find the registry path:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Network\Real Mode Net
3. Once this path is reached, if the autologon variable name is not in the registry. Right click on Real Mode
Net. Select "NEW" and then click on "Binary Value". Then edit the New Value name with "autologon". This
is lower case letters.
4. Right click on this name "autologon" and select modify.
5. Edit Binary Value screen should now be displayed. Enter two zeros at the location of the cursor. The
entry should appear like this: 0000 00
6. Close the registry.
