Okay so Im sure its not that big of a deal but all I want to do is to be able to play Solitaire (The solitaire that comes with pretty much every computer) on the Novell thing. I saw someone else in my computer class playing it and this is what inspired me because I never really thought about it. We don't really do a lot in my class so this would deffinitely help pass the time. I found the folder where the .exe's are found but I found it through Microsoft Word so I couldnt open them. Any help would be very much appreciated. (Note: Im not looking to hack or do anything like that, all I want to do is be able to open up solitaire and play on one of those boring moments.)

Thanks

If you have a system administrator who understands Zen for desktop he probably enabled the ROUGE system and inserted the Solitaire among the files your system can not run.
This is done through the NAL as an application that writes the changes in the registry.
You will not be able to run Solitaire even if you'll change the name of the application to another name (e.g 1.exe), the solitaire will start and after 1 second will shutdown and you will receive a massage telling you can't run the application called sol.exe (meaning: "I know you are trying to run Solitaire even you changed the name to something else"). The administrator can configure the ROUGE application to name a report of which user try to run which application.

Well, while I haven't found Solitaire I have figured out how to bypass most of the blocks by using Microsoft Word (Yes Word.)

Here's how I did it:

1) Open word up after logging in under your username
2) Press Ctrl+K. It will bring up the Hyperlinking window
3) Type in the desired location where you want to go. (For me it was C:\Program Files\ so that I could access the programs and such.
4) Now Ctrl+Click the hyperlink and click OK on the box that tells you stuff about how the links can be dangerous
5) Now its okay if Windows Explorer doesnt open it right up, it shouldnt. But what should happen is you should have the taskbar at the bottom of your screen now.
6) Ctrl+Click the link again and this time it should bring up the actual folder and you can work from there. I went to MSN Gaming Zone which when you actually launch the games, they work perfectly.

Now I don't know where the .exe's for Solitaire are but if anyone could give me a hint as to where they are that would be really helpful. Also, I would just like to add that I found out all of this on my own during the period of 2 class periods (one figuring out how to get in, and the other opening the games and exploring).

But Im still pretty sure there is another way to do it without all this stuff because that stupid chick did it. Only reason I aint asking her is cause I dont like her and she's my ex's best friend. (Nothing wrong with my ex, just her friends :P) But thats off subject. Any hints would be very much appreciated.

I actually found a much easier way. Okay, log in. Open up Microsoft Excel 2003. There should be a little card deck on the toolbar. Have fun.

We have that system in our school, to gain access to the C drive directly all you have to do is hover over a folder in the start menu. We use Startup and mash both mouse buttons really fast, this will confuse novell and it will open the explorer window that reflects the folder, in our case startup. Then just hit the folder up button to go up and up and up ... till you hit the C drive. i believe that solitare is in C>windows>system32 then just look for the icon, go to the detailed view and sort by type.
