My problem begins when I install the Novell client 4.83 under my Windows XP, the microsoft network slows down and take several seconds (20 or 30) to open a computer in the network. Before I install the Novell 4.83 client I was using the default Windows XP Netware client and It was working fine. Someone can help me with this????

Welcome to the world of Netware/Windows environments. Yes, this is a huge problem I have come accross as well. I usually start by installing only 1 protocol, IP. This could be a problem if you are not running Netware 5.1 everywhere. The next thing I do is to map a drive to whatever I want to access. Once the drive is mapped, access is much quicker to the resources. You can also look into the properties of the Netware client and try adjusting how it learns of machine names. It seems that the Netware client loves to broadcast to find any information if it is not directly on a Netware server.
