I have a Windows XP Pro. workstation that takes about 1:30 to boot. I'm authenicating to a Novell 5.1 server with the 4.83 client installed on the workstation. I've used Microsoft's BootVis to check the boot process and it showed that the logon process was taking about 1:15. Any ideas why it would take so long?? The Novell server does not use ZEN works or any other application launchers, its just a simple file and print server.

Check your network settings to see what order they are being looked at by the redirector. Move Netware client to the top and this will speed things up. Here is how to do it: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q316042
