I have secondary server running netware 5.0
when is server booted it makes intermitted beeps and then after about half hour makes conituous beeps. There are no error messages displayed at the console.
Can somebody help me please!

This is a strange one.

Apart from the beeps does the server function ok;

can users logon to it? If not then it could be a problem with the NIC card.

Is it syncronised with the other server?

How long between each beep?

Stuck Key? Try using a different Keyboard

Is the CD mounted? this used to cause a problem similar to this. If mounted take the command out of the autoexec.ncf

Load "monitor" and see what processes are running that may give you a clue.

Try unloading drivers one at a time to see if it stops.

Once I had a server with a bad battery on the RAID Controller card and it made some funky beeps to warn that it was going bad.

Just a thought, if you think that Netware itself is OK.

We have had the same problem caused by a lack of time sychronisation.

I wonder if this may be your problem??

We are running 4.11.

You can turn the beeps off.
