Comment:

We have a 4.3 Gig SCSI HD, we bought 2 9 gig SCSI HD.

Now we want to replace the existing 4.3 with the 9 and mirror it...But we dont want to have to reinstall everything (novell, arcserve, Netware for SAA etc...)

How is this possible can we mirror the 4.3 to on of the 9 gig ?? and then remove the 4.3 and use this 9 gig as the primary disk then mirror it with the 2nd 9 gig ??

Is it possible to mirror a 4.3 gig with a 9 Gig ???

Thanx

********MY SUGGESTION*******

You can mirror different size disks by increasing the size of the hotfix to match the number of blocks used for the volumes in the original disks. After mirroring break mirror and leave the larger disk in. Change the hotfix area to 2% or more and then put in the second disk and remirror.

This is posible
The partitions must be the same than you can make a mirror.

1. install harddisk
2. make a partition on the new HD (same as old HD)
3. establish mirror
4. wait to end of sync
5. remove old HD
6. break mirror
7. make more partitions than you can make the volumes bigger.

good luc
