Comment:

First, I have no experience of Novell and Networks.
When I try to access Windows Update I get a message saying my Network Connections will not allow. I inherited this PC from an office and Novell NetWare appears in the Control/Networks list. I simply want a stand alone PC. Can I remove NetWare Client safely using the Add/Remove in Control and will this
leave my presently working IE and OE undisturbed?

Is the actual novell client software loading up or is this the built in microsoft? If the microsoft you can go into network properties and uninstall the novell client stuff.

If its the novell software just follow the instructions in the link.
