I got an old PC at a yard sale that had the Win 2K Novell Client piece installed on it, but no password was provided. I want to remove the software and install a new OS, but when I format the hard drive and reboot, the Novell client is still on the machine. Any ideas on how I can remove it?

You need to get a hold of the utility called unc32. This will properly remove it from your system. It might actually be on your pc depending on what version of the novell client you are using. If not you can most likely pick it up from the Novell website....
Good luck...

The first poster gave you an incorrect answer. UNC32 does not exist for W2K Novell Client32. There are 2 ways to remove the Novell Client32 (other than Ghosting the PC with a different image), and that is the following, but both do require to be a local Admin or be an Admin-equivalent:
1. Go to the Local Area Connection Properties window (one way is to Right-click on "My Network Places" - Choose Properties - in the Network and Dial-up Connections window double-click on Local Area Connection - in the Local Area Connection Status window click on Properties) - in the Local Area Connection Properties window select the "Novell Client for Windows" component - choose Uninstall. (Any additional Novell client components that were installed, like ZenWorks, NDPS, etc., will be automatically removed, too).
2. Follow Novell's T.I.D. (may need to copy/paste the URL appropriately in the browser Address field):
