problems with groupwise 6.5 and XP

You're actually using the 6.5 client?
I ask because I'm pretty sure you can't mix client and server versions around. Eg Groupwise 6 client would not be able to work with a Groupwise 6.5 server.

GroupWise's interoperability is quite strange. You can use a backlevel client to attach to an uplevel server, but not the reverse. As an example, you can use a 5.5 Client to connect to a 6.5 Server, but NOT the reverse. Check to ensure that you client is the same release level or a lower release level than the GW server.

After upgrading to NW6.x I still ran GW 5.5 for several weeks before upgrading to GW 6.5.1 without any issues.
