Office Files Locking w/ Netware 6.5

We are having problems with all versions (2000 up) of Microsoft Office freezing when a user is trying to save a network file store on the Netware 6.5 server. The user can not even end the process or kill the office program. They must physically cold boot the machine. Any Thoughts?
