I am running a Netware 4.1 network.
I can not get Netware Administrator to work in Windows 2000. It can't seem to find any objects. When I run it in Windows 98 everything works fine. How can I fix this?
I am running the program \PUBLIC\NWADMN3X.exe. Is there another program I should be running to administrate NDS in Windows 2000?Thanks!

windows 2000 requires the client for netware 4.8 for NT/2000. did you try it?
Novell.com download page.

You have to run the 32-bit version of NWadmin. If you install the latest service pack from Novell on your server, you will find a directory on the SYS volume, under PUBLIC called Win32. This directory has the file named NWadmn32.exe. This is the 32-bit version of NetWare Administrator. It will run properly on a Win2K box.

The file you should use is NWADMN32.exe you can find it on your SYS volume in the WIN32 directory. It should be vwersion 5.1.9f if not you can download the updated file at Novell. If you use any client version higher than 4.6 on your system you will need to setup police packages in NDS so you can login. Also if you install 4.8 on a windows 2000 system be sure to install SP3 for 4.8 or your system may be slowed down by the printer spooler.

I don't know the etiquette for thanking people around here but I'm going to do it anyway. Thank all of you who replied for your help. My problem has been solved.

My workstation is Win2k.....
When running nwadmn32.exe (NetWare Administrator) I cannot do a "find" and look up trustees for groups and users.....get errors 898,1070,877 in that order
Yet it runs ok on a different win2k station..
Anyone know why it's not working properly on mine?
thanks
dave
